Friends of the Log Cabin Village, Quincy, IL Mission: Restore, Preserve and Promote the utilization of the Village/Museum.. .

Formed in 2007 to save the Lincoln-era Log Cabin Village, this organization promotes local history and raises funds to restore the cabins for future generations.

The book "Dancing with our Tribe" Potawatomi in the new Millilumen was presented to the Quincy Public Library on behalf of the FLC by President, Joe N. FLC has hosted a picnic for the Pottawatomi every 5 years beginning in 2008 on their comemrative Trail of Death. In appreciation they presented us with this book.

Log Cabin Village Open House May 3, 1 - 4 Join us during Dogwood weekend to stroll through the Village, meet some of the cabin hosts. Spend a relaxing afternoon on Sunday.
Saturday May 2nd is the Parade.

Quincy, IL – The Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the return of the annual Dogwood Parade on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 9:20 a.m. in downtown Quincy.

This year’s theme, “Derby on Maine – With Community We Win,” brings the excitement and tradition of the Kentucky Derby to historic Maine Street. The 2026 parade will celebrate community spirit, local pride, and the collective energy that makes Quincy strong.

The Chamber extends special appreciation to Blessing Health System, presenting sponsor of the 2026 Dogwood Parade, and to our community partners who help make this tradition possible.

Registration opens Tuesday, March 3, at 7:00 a.m.
Entry fees are:
• $80 for parade entries
• $250 for Dogwood Investors
