Tuesday - Saturday from 11 AM - 5 PM

We stopped by today and found ourselves happily lost in the big gallery viewing “Back to Nature” featuring real glass artwork from artist across the country. We couldn’t pick a favorite piece, but a few of the top contenders were ‘Midnight in the Turtle’s Garden’, the sweetest little blue fish with bubbles, and ‘Children of the Forest’ created by local artist Elizabeth Swick! After a walk through the main gallery, we loved getting to discover, create, and play in The Collaboratory. 💗

This exhibit is open now through October 24th. Don’t miss it!

The sun set on our last Blues of the year last night, and what a beautiful night it was! 🌅🎶

Paint rockets, our spin chair, a sensory bin, and all sorts of building opportunities gave the kids plenty to explore while the whole family could listen to the blues and enjoy one of our favorite Quincy traditions.

A huge thank you to Blessing Health System for partnering with us all summer long and helping us bring PLAY to the park, and to The District Quincy for continuing to host such an incredible community event.

We’re already looking forward to next summer! 💙

Quincy Children’s Museum + Quincy Art Center 🩵🎨

This satellite exhibit is SO fun!!! We cannot wait for all of you to experience it.

The Collaboratory is the perfect introduction for our visitors, members, and friends to step into the incredible Quincy Art Center and experience something we simply cannot offer in our own space. And that’s why collaboration is so important. When community organizations work together, we can share our strengths, open new doors, and connect families to even more opportunities to learn, play, explore, and belong.

The Quincy Art Center is FREE to visit, and QCM’s participation in this experience is made possible by the incredible supporters who continue to believe in our work and help us say YES to opportunities like this.

📍The Collaboratory opens this Friday and runs through October 24! Quincy Art Center is open Tuesday–Saturday from 11 AM–5 PM at 1515 Jersey Street.

We are thrilled to announce an upcoming partnership with Quincy Children’s Museum, bringing the art and science of glass to life in Quincy Art Center's Sinnock Gallery this fall!

From August 21 - Oct. 24, families and kids can explore stunning artworks made of glass in the big gallery, then venture over to the "ColLaboratory" where there will be STEAM-based learning stations from Quincy Children’s Museum with hands-on make-and-take art activities from Quincy Art Center.

Visitors are encouraged to explore ideas related to glass, art, science, and nature through interactive experiences that encourage curiosity and creativity - we look forward to seeing you there!

🎉 We’re celebrating the good news coming from our friends at Toys for Tots of West Central Illinois!

Allison has been a champion for Quincy Children’s Museum from the very beginning, jumping in whenever volunteers are needed, gathering donations for fundraisers, and bringing her own family to play at the museum on a regular basis.

We’re so excited for what this means for children and families across our region and can’t wait to see Allison continue making an impact in this new role. They couldn’t have picked a better person to help lead the way!

Hi, I’m Allison, and I’m incredibly honored to introduce myself as the new Toys for Tots Coordinator serving Adams, Hancock, Brown, and Schuyler Counties.

***This is a volunteer role and I will maintain full time employment on top of being a wife, a mom of two boys (4 and 7) and being involved in other community programs***

I know I’m stepping into some pretty big shoes.

The past four years, under Jessica’s leadership, brought incredible growth to Toys for Tots in our communities, with more than 174,000 toys distributed to local children. Behind those numbers were countless volunteers, businesses, donors, families, Marines, veterans, and community members who showed up because they believed every child deserves the magic of Christmas.

I have so much respect for the work that came before me, and my goal isn’t to recreate it.

It’s to honor it, build on it, and carry this mission into its next chapter.

And I want YOU to be part of that chapter.
