Concord School House and Upper Burying Ground Established in 1693, the Upper Burying Ground is one of the oldest in the Philadelphia region.

Thank you for 16 years of great back-to-school memories. We will no longer hold our annual backpack give-away due to limited capacity. We are donating our remaining school supplies to the event hosted next week by Senator Art Haywood and Rep. Andre D. Carroll at the Lonnie Young Recreation Center on Chelten Ave.

Save the date! Our annual Back to School event is taking place on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Location: Lonnie Young Recreation Center, 1100 E. Chelten Avenue, Philadelphia, PA.
