Our October Member Spotlight is Jill Einbender! “I first discovered ceramics in high school and I loved it. My teacher let me come into the art room whenever I had free time and it was a perfect place to take a break from social drama and academic pressures. I continued taking wheel-throwing classes as an adult, trying out a different art center every few years. 

I was thrilled to find Outlaw Arts because I was no longer limited by the dates or hours of a class. It has been wonderful to be part of a creative community that loves clay as much as I do. I have learned so much from other members and I am continually inspired by their work. Since joining, I’ve been having fun trying out different decorating techniques, exploring new glazes, and working with different clay bodies. I find it so satisfying to see family and friends drink coffee from my mugs, eat dinner out of my bowls and put fresh cut flowers into vases that I have created with my own hands. The nervous excitement I feel each time my pots come out of the kiln never gets old!”

October Member Spotlight: Jill Einbender! “I first discovered ceramics in high school and I loved it.
