Depot Day 2026...while we had to adapt and make a few changes due to the weather, the day finished out beautifully. Thank you to everyone that came out. Thanks to the high school bands that provided music all day, Del Oro Modular Railroad, East Valley Lines N scale, the LA Breakfast Club, Friends of Griffith Park, LA Live Steamers, Henry Mack and his lego trains, the food truck vendors, LA Fire Department and Adam's Forge. A big thank you goes out to our volunteers and staff....without them we could make this happen.

There were some fun and creative costumes for our Costume Parade (those pictures will come Thursday)

The Squirrel Valley Railroad ran all day and had some new buildings added recently and we gave lots of tours of our Pullman Sleeping Cars and the Little Nugget Lounge Car.

Our Annual Festival is almost here!

Bring family and friends to our Depot Day festival at Travel Town! It is free and open to the general public.
Join or renew your Travel Town Museum Foundation Membership.
Our membership section will be to the right of the entrance bridge. We will have train table play and a train themed Halloween costume parade & contest. RSVP to the costume contest by Oct. 5. A separate, detailed email on the contest will be sent out to all current members with RSVP requirements, soon.

Members need to secure wrist bands at our member booth check-in, in order to enjoy discounts offered at all food trucks along with free popcorn at our soda booth!

Everyone will enjoy live music from our local high schools, food trucks offering member-only discounts/specials, model trains, demonstrations and so much more!

Track 8 West Rebuild happening at Travel Town! The TTMF has hired the Sharp and Fellows company to safely rebuild the switch on Track 8 West. Here the crew is placing one of the 13 foot switch ties before they break for lunch. This work is being done in preparation for a NEW ARRIVAL at Travel Town that will take place later in the year!! The gift shop is open during construction.

Progress is continuing on the Union Pacific Dining Car as well as the Little Nugget Lounge car. Windows fixed, window shades going in, repairs to the floor and new pictures for the walls. Thank you to everyone that has donated to these projects, we couldn't do it without you.

Work continued on the Little Nugget Club Car this past weekend. Window work and the entrance stairs got a fresh coat of paint. The Squirrel Valley Railroad has been getting some upgrades including a custom built Howe Truss bridge that was donated to us by a family that dismantled their garden railroad. Look for more upgrades in the future.

Coming up this weekend....we have our Member's Only Play Day and tours of the Pullman Sleeping cars and the M.177 motor car. 10am - 3pm Saturday, August 8.
