A unique adventure on board takes you on a memorable family journey through World War II, Korean War, and Cold War; following in footsteps of sailors that lived on the most powerful warship built to date. Visitors tour six decks of wood & steel and numerous exhibits on the Battleship that hosted three U.S. Presidents during her service as a symbol of democracy. The USS Iowa is located at the L.A. Waterfront, former home to the US Navy Battleship fleet and an area rich in maritime history.

We remember the lives lost, the families who carried on without them, and the first responders and service members who ran toward danger that day. Twenty-five years hasn’t dulled what that morning meant, or what it still asks of us.

Take a moment today. Remember. Never forget.

This Friday, we come together in remembrance.

Join us aboard Battleship IOWA on September 11 as we commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, and honor the lives lost, the first responders who answered the call, and all those forever impacted by that day.

The remembrance ceremony will take place on the bow from 10:00-11:30 AM and will include the presentation of colors, the National Anthem, a commemorative bell ringing, and the playing of Taps.

We invite veterans, first responders, families, and members of our community to join us for this meaningful morning of remembrance and reflection.
