Dave Rossum seen here with the prototype Oberheim SEM at VSM.
Dave is best known for his work at E-mu Systems with products like the SP-1200 and the Emulator series, but in the early 70’s he was commissioned by Tom Oberheim to design the oscillators for what was to become the SEM. The last photo is just the prototype SEM. More posts with video and audio of the prototype SEM forthcoming…

Using the onboard sequencer of the Gleeman Pentaphonic to loop a melody. Using the Roland SH-101 for a dusty, elastic lead. Both are slightly flavored with Roland RE-201 Space Echo.
You have access to all this and much more at VSM. Just☎️reach📧out.

A scene from the Second Sunday Synthesizer Soundbath here at VSM yesterday.
We offer this unique ambient music experience every second Sunday of the month.
Dozens of vintage synthesizers playing through 14 speakers distributed around the space for an hour and a half.
In this clip we are hearing: Korg Mono/Poly and MS-50, EML-400, Yamaha CS-30, Roland SH-101, Serge Modular System, and the Synthesizers.Com system.
Tickets for the September Soundbath are now available.

Our friends at The Belasco have given us a pair of tickets to see Black Moth Super Rainbow on Friday, July 31, and we’d love to pass them along to someone in the VSM community.

If you’d like to go, let us know who you’d bring with you. We’ll randomly choose one person on Wednesday, July 29, and send them a DM.

Thanks to The Belasco for making this possible. Good luck, the show is going to be amazing! BMSR is sooo good live!
