Four members of Potomac's amateur radio club—(L–R) Trevor Hall, Les Marks, Amando Miller, and Robert Lipp—recently took part in Museum Ships Weekend, an annual amateur radio event coordinated by the USS New Jersey. The team had a great time connecting with fellow radio operators aboard historic vessels around the world.

This year, 114 museum ships participated in the event. Representing the Potomac, the club made 15 radio contacts, including connections with the USS Midway, USS Iowa, USS Turner Joy, and locals USS Hornet, USS Pampanito, and Red Oak Victory.
