Not only was it a gorgeous day, but we were honored to have some very special guests on board with us on Sept. 27, including former Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd! Very gracious and pleasant, Mr. Rudd was excited to be aboard with his friends for our three hour cruise and trip under the Golden Gate Bridge!

Also joining us were 34 volunteers from the battleship USS Iowa which shares an important part in World War II history with Potomac. In 1943, Potomac delivered FDR just outside Chesapeake Bay to secretly board the Iowa for the Atlantic leg of his journey to meet up with Churchill and Stalin at the Tehran Conference where they talked about the D-Day Landings. What a cruise!🚤
