The Museum of Art and Digital Entertainment

The Museum of Art and Digital Entertainment A non-profit video game museum in Oakland, California dedicated to preserving games as an art form.

The Museum of Art and Digital Entertainment (MADE) is dedicated to interactive art (specifically the art of video games), community events and video game education. We are currently striving to become a major institution and thus have a 15-year plan to construct a world-class facility in downtown San Francisco. This will be a long and arduous journey, filled with both peril and adventure (almost a

s if we are a teenaged rapscallion armed with a wooden sword, sent out to save the kidnapped princess from some world-endangering, unspeakable evil). Along the way, we're sure to meet some memorable characters, dodge rocks spat at us by strange octopus monsters, find glorious treasure and face level bosses that will make us cringe. We're in this thing to defeat the final end boss, we're planning on saving that princess no matter what and if you'd like to volunteer or help out in the process, please let us know. We are 501(c)3, our EIN # is 26-4570976, are currently offering free Scratch video game programming classes for kids on Saturday from 10 A.M to 12 P.M. and full schedule, curriculum and event information can be found at www.themade.org.

are you a fan of gundam, mtg, yu-gi-oh, pokémon, and/or other trading card games? do you ever wonder what makes them so popular? then come to our workshop!

join PHD game designer sam shields (whose hands are in the videos) across four hands-on sessions, where you’ll learn how TCGs work as games, why cards become desirable, how to prototype your own card systems, and how card games move between physical, digital, open-source, and hybrid formats.
