The Center for Contemporary Arts is proud to present MOTHERBOARDs, a surreal solo exhibition by local professional art installer and art handler - the CCA’s own - Jonah Eli Garcia.

An artist first, he has dedicated his professional life working with and studying within multiple galleries, learning the behind-the-scenes of curating and producing exhibitions. This exhibit will employ all the skills learned throughout his blossoming gallery career.

Join us for the Opening Reception on Friday, June 5th from 5–7 PM and be among the first to experience this immersive exhibition. The evening will also feature a special DJ set mixed by Garcia himself, creating the perfect soundtrack for a night of art, conversation, and community.

Come celebrate a rising creative voice and experience what promises to be an unforgettable evening. See next slide for more details!

“The title, Dead Letter Office comes from a postal term, it’s the place where undeliverable mail ends up after the postal service has tried and failed to deliver it or return it to the sender. Mail is sent to a dead letter office when the address is missing, incorrect, or the recipient no longer lives there.

In this work, I use the term as a metaphor for memory. Like undeliverable mail, memories are often formed with an intended recipient or purpose that no longer exists. We remember people who are gone, different versions of ourselves, or places that may or may not still exist. The images remain, capturing moments that feel familiar but unresolved, like messages sent without knowing if they were ever received. The titles reference memories that influenced the images, inviting viewers to question not only the subject itself, but the ways their own perceptions shape what they see.”

This is the last week to take in this captivating show, Dead Letter Office by ! Don’t miss it.

Wright Photography Gallery | Through June 6

A spiritual experience found somewhere in between the mountaintops and steeples...

This collaborative photography series by a mother and son examines elevation as both landscape and lived experience. The work reframes the idea of a summit beyond geography - positioning it as a space of spiritual clarity, creative alignment, and generational connection.
