Weapons on Wednesday:

M1903A4 Springfield

The M1903A4 Springfield is the standard U.S. Army sniper rifle of World War II, produced by Re*****on Arms between 1943 and 1944. It is a modified bolt-action M1903A3, designed for optics by removing iron sights and featuring a 2.5x Weaver scope, with 28,635 units produced. It was known for its accuracy in WWII, the Korean War, and later.
This was manufactured by Re*****on; based on the M1903A3, specifically modified with a lowered bolt handle and a 2.5x Weaver 330 scope (or similar) on a Redfield mount.
The M1903A4 served as the primary US Army sniper rifle in WWII and remained in service through the Korean War.

As liberators, the veterans of the 12th Armored Division felt that Holocaust education was a vital part of the legacy that they wanted to leave behind so that it would be learned from and never repeated.

The museum takes up this mantle and honors the truth through Holocaust Education. You can help support this today.
