📢 OPEN CALL | Multimedia Production Lab "Parallel Exposures"
for Armenian Azerbaijani and Georgian participants.
Are you a photographer, documentary filmmaker, journalist, or visual storyteller from the South Caucasus? Do you already collaborate with a partner from another discipline?
We are looking for 4 interdisciplinary duos (8 participants total) from Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia to join the Multimedia Production Lab Grant & Mentorship Program.
Over three months, selected teams will receive:
- Online training and collective sessions
- Personalized mentorship from renowned French photographer Julien Pebrel
- A production grant of approximately €500 per duo
- The opportunity to develop and produce an original multimedia project
- Participation in a final three-day seminar in Tbilisi featuring presentations, workshops, and networking opportunities
The program encourages innovative storytelling that combines photography, documentary filmmaking, journalism, and other audiovisual practices, while promoting inclusive and gender-sensitive approaches to content creation.
The Multimedia Production Lab combines mentorship, training, and production support to help participants develop compelling multimedia stories that integrate different forms of visual and journalistic practice.

About the mentor:
Julien Pebrel is a director and documentary photographer living in Tbilisi and Paris. He has been a member of MYOP agency since 2011.
His work focuses on how the banal, the everyday life, unfolds in territories marked by the traces of their recent History. In recent years, he has worked in the Danube Delta in Romania, in Armenia, Nagorno-Karabakh, Moldova, Kazakhstan, etc. From 2017 to 2024, he shared his life between Paris and Tbilisi, working on his project "Chronicles of Georgia", mixing a documentary approach with his own personal history with the country.
His photographs have been exhibited in France, Georgia, U.K., South Korea, Germany, etc and published in M le Magazine du Monde, Le Monde, Financial Times Magazine, Sunday Times Magazine, The Washington Post, Libération, The Guardian, Mare, Der Spiegel, Newsweek Japan, Time, etc.
The Kartli Kingdom, his first documentary film, co-directed with Tamar Kalandadze has been selected in many festivals and won the Best Director Award in IDFA
