Thank you everyone for your feedback and I wish we could provide further comment but as you can imagine we are restricted in what we can say for legal reasons. However, for those with tickets please contact North Pole Experience, they are the only ones who can answer your questions, however for clarity. Thoresby cannot unilaterally cancel events where we have signed a contract. For those who commented on our earlier post as you can imagine it has been difficult, but for those criticizing us for taking this booking, we pride ourselves on supporting new people with fresh ideas who can excite and engage visitors and can only apologise how things have gone in this case.

Statement from Thoresby Estate on the North Pole Experience

Thoresby Estate has a long and successful record of enabling external partners to host events here in North Nottinghamshire including Gloworm Music Festival, Dino Kingdom, the Stone Valley Music Festival and Winterfest which was held on Sunday. We were approached by The North Pole Experience Ltd who were looking for a venue for their winter festival. They seemed competent and were able to provide references and we hoped to enable another successful event to wrap up the year. Unfortunately, this has not come to pass. The continued failure by The North Pole Experience to open, despite half completing their set up has disappointed us as much as anyone else. The estate does not believe this is due to malice however the outcome is the same. North Pole Experience have failed to meet their obligations to us and to the public. We encourage members of the public to obtain redress from The North Pole Experience Ltd. As such we are instructing our legal advisors and therefore will be unable to make further statements. While responsibility for this situation rests with the event operator, the Estate would like to apologise for any disappointment.

Hi All,

Thoresby Park are aware of all your comments and concerns.
We have been assured that North Pole Experience will go ahead on the 26th November as planned. North Pole Experience is an external company that are using our grounds, we have nothing to do with the company themselves.
We are very sorry about the worry this has caused people, there is nothing that we can do to change the way the event is being run unfortunately. Please direct your queries directly to North Pole Experience as Thoresby Park will not be able to provide the answers that you are trying to find.

We hope North Pole Experience are able to resolve the issues that have arisen for your peace of mind.

Thank you.

Hi All,

Unfortunately, North Pole Experience has been delayed until 26th November. Please do not make the effort to travel to Nottinghamshire until that date.
North Pole Experience is an external company that are holding their event within our grounds, therefore any queries, tickets or complaints must go through the North Pole Experience directly. Thoresby Park have no control over the event or the tickets so you must contact the company directly if you do have any enquiries. This can be done through the North Pole Experience website.
We are apologetic for the inconvenience that has been caused so far.

Thank you,
Thoresby Park.

The There and Back Light Railway is back at Thoresby Park this weekend!

We are pleased to announce we will be back at Thoresby Park this weekend. In a slight change to usual we will not be located on the lane outside the courtyard going down to five-ways. We will now be down the hill on the lawns, outside the house. This is due to the lane being used as the walking route to Dino Kingdom

We will be open from 10am until late both days, train rides will be £2 per person. Cash is preferable due to poor Internet signal.

Come for a ride in a new location! 🚂🚃🚃

Please can you ask people to look out for Nina. Nina has been spotted on 25/10/20 near Budby coming out of the forest. She’s travelling a fair distance daily and will probably now use the cycle/walking paths. She’s very scared so if seen please do not call her, chase or attempt to catch. Contact numbers on the poster below.
Does anyone know how I can get hold of a walking trail map before ahead of arriving here please? 😁
Good evening. I visited the grounds today 12/11/2020 and captured this picture of the shadow behind the chimney of the Hall, I thought it resembled an outline shadow of a World War soldier, and thought it was quite fitting that it was the day after remembrance day. Lest We Forget.
Had a great time doing the slime halloween trail yesterday, this was Maisies scared face! 😂😂
Thanks thoresby park for a great afternoon. The whodunit trail is great! We all really enjoyed it 👍👍
