Introducing Dafe Oboro!

Born in Lagos in 1994, Dafe is a visual artist working across photography, film and sound. Drawing on his upbringing in a military family from Delta State, Nigeria, his carefully constructed images explore memory, migration and how identity is shaped by the environments we inhabit.

For the BRIDGE residency, Dafe will journey to Seoul in partnership with . Moving through the city as both participant and outsider, he will combine observational street photography with self-portraiture, using mirrors and shadows to embed his presence within Seoul’s shifting surfaces.

Documenting public spaces, neighbourhoods, and fleeting encounters, Dafe will explore the parallels between Lagos, Nottingham, and Seoul - three cities shaped by movement, density, and the ongoing negotiation of identity. The resulting photographic series will reflect on belonging, perception and the shared rhythms of global cities.

Dafe’s work has been exhibited internationally at institutions including the V&A, National Maritime Museum, October Gallery and ART X Lagos, and featured in publications such as Dazed and Rolling Stone.

Open call for anyone with memories of Hyson Green skateboarding & graffiti!

Launching on Thursday 20th August at New Art Exchange, 'Concrete Heritage, Rolling Archive' is a week-long exhibition celebrating the history of skateboarding, art, and culture in the Hyson Green area of Nottingham.

Did you skate the concrete bowls in the 70s & 80s? Have you shot photos or filmed edits at street spots such as The Forest Rec sets & ledges? Were you there for the first years of Maples Street skatepark, or are you one of the hundreds of artists who've painted its walls over the past 20 years?

We want to see your photos, footage, art, ephemera, artefacts, and hear your memories!
