We enjoyed a good crowd at the Pleasley Open Day on Saturday the 11th of September, it was great to see old friends and make new ones. Entertainment was provided by the Pleasley Colliery Welfare band and there was a flyover by a vintage aircraft.
On Sunday the 12th of September we were pleased to participate in the Little Green Festival at Vicar Water Country Park Newark and Sherwood District Council where families enjoyed traditional entertainments. Thank you to everyone who visited and supported our stands #greenfestival

A plea for Volunteers:
If you have any spare time we would greatly appreciate any help you could offer with the running of the museum, particularly with our social media, old person with limited knowledge of Facebook etc. currently trying very hard to get to grips with it😂 so any advice would be gratefully received. We also need volunteers to meet and greet, people with mining knowledge to talk to visitors about life in the pit, any gardeners out there who could help maintain the memorial garden as well as with general upkeep. Please get in touch if you can offer any help, no long term commitment needed.
