The Vista Alegre porcelain factory was founded in 1824, in Ílhavo, central Portugal, born from the dream of a visionary Portuguese gentleman. More than 175 years later, through a route that has produced a vast portfolio of products closely associated with the history and cultural life of Europe, a merger took place between the Vista Alegre and the Atlantis companies, forming the largest national tableware and giftware group, and one of the largest in the industry worldwide: the Vista Alegre Atlantis Group.
