Since 2001, we have collaborated with young, mid-career and established artists. Circle Culture Gallery is a platform on which international artistic world views are shared, and aesthetically and intellectually developed. At our showrooms in Hamburg and Berlin, the Rocco Forte Hotel de Rome in Berlin as well as at our temporary artist residence in Baden-Baden/ Kauffenheim, we provide the opportunity to experience our artist program first hand.

„In meiner Arbeit gebe ich den verschlungenen Denkprozess wieder. Durch die Verbindung von Verwirrung und Klarheit hinterfragt meine Praxis die logische Inkohärenz von Sinn und Empfindung. Entstanden aus einer vagen Vision, wächst jedes Kunstwerk ständig in mehreren Dimensionen, wobei Zeit und Raum keine Rolle spielen. Teil meines Prozesses ist die Verflechtung verstreuter Gedanken, die sich in ihrer Vernetzung zusammenfinden. Zunächst scheinen sie zufällig angeordnet, doch sie sind alle miteinander verknüpft und folgen einer rhizomatischen Struktur, in der die Antwort in der Struktur selbst zu finden ist.

Inspiriert vom russischen Konstruktivismus und der zeitgenössischen Architektur basieren meine dreidimensionalen Arbeiten auf Aspekten des Ingenieurwesens und des Bauens. Vorzugsweise unter Verwendung einfacher Materialien wie Papier, Pappe und dünner Holzstäbchen rekonstruiere ich manifestierte Traumwelten. Der Prozess des spielerischen und subversiven Bauens reflektiert die ewige Suche nach einem Zuhause, nach einem Identitätsgefühl. Indem meine Arbeit andeutet, dass Aporie Bestrebungen beflügelt, offenbart sie den Dualismus zwischen Verwirrung und Klarheit, Verbindung und Trennung, Bild und Selbst. In einem permanenten Schwingungszustand zwischen Selbst und Umständen treibt uns ständige Unruhe dazu an, die Grenzen unserer eigenen Weltgestaltung zu erforschen.“ - Oskar Rink

Oskar Rink (* 1980 in Leipzig) lebt und arbeitet in Leipzig.

Seit 2022 hat Oskar Rink eine Gastprofessur für Malerei an der Burg Giebichenstein in Halle inne.
