🎃🚂 ALL ABOARD THE HALLOWEEN PUMPKIN EXPRESS! 🚂🎃

The Vancouver Island Model Engineers (VIME) are bringing their Halloween Pumpkin Express back to Heritage Acres for three days of festive fall train rides!

🍂 These are the LAST public train days of the season! Don’t miss your chance to enjoy the miniature trains before they wrap up for the winter and return next spring!

🎟️ ADMISSION & TRAIN RIDES

• Gate admission: $10 per vehicle
• Train tickets: $3 per person
• Children must be at least 2 years old to ride the trains.
• Debit, credit and cash accepted at both the entrance gate and train ticket area.

🍔 Feeling hungry? The Whistle Stop will be open and providing food throughout the event!

PLEASE NOTE:

• This event is organized and operated by the Vancouver Island Model Engineers (VIME), a separate organization from Heritage Acres.

• This is a train-focused event only. There will be no additional activities or entertainment taking place.

• All Heritage Acres museum buildings will be closed to the public.

• Event is weather permitting.

• Dogs are welcome on leash.

🌾 Canadian Raw Oats for Sale at Heritage Acres! 🌾

Freshly harvested at our Fall Fair, we have approximately 55 bushels of organically grown Canadian raw oats available for sale.

These may be of particular interest to local chicken keepers, poultry farms, horse owners, equestrian operations and other livestock owners looking for locally grown whole oats.

🍂 Fall Hours begin October 1st at Heritage Acres!

From October 1 – November 30, our grounds, forest trails and museum buildings will be open daily from 9am–1pm.

🍁 Entry is by donation
🐾 Dogs are welcome on leash

Donations can be made in cash at the office, by scanning the QR code on the poster, or online through the donation link in our Linktree in bio. Every donation helps support the preservation and operation of Heritage Acres.

❄️ Beginning December 1st, Heritage Acres will be closed to the public for the winter season and will reopen May 1st, 2027.

Come enjoy a fall visit before we tuck in for winter!

Friendly reminder that VIME is a separate entity from Heritage Acres. All questions regarding the trains should be directed to VIME. Please visit their website - www.vime.ca 📧

Train Ride Details:
• All rides are $3 per ride, whether or not there is a gate admission fee
• Debit, visa or Mastercard are preferred methods of payment
• Children MUST be 2 years and older to ride the trains, NO children UNDER 2 years old
• VIME offers a limited number of days when trains may be hired for a private event such as a birthday party

🐺🌕 HIGH MOON IS BACK AT HERITAGE ACRES! 🌕🐺

This Halloween season, HIGH MOON: A Werewolf Western returns to Heritage Acres — bigger, bloodier and beastier!

Get ready for a Halloween theatre experience unlike your typical night at the theatre. Audiences will walk through the grounds of Heritage Acres, following a fugitive farm boy being hunted by both man and beast. Shadowy barns, moonlit churches and historic buildings become the backdrop for a Wild West story filled with horror, humour, heart — and werewolves.

Written by local award-winning theatre veterans Ian Case and David Elendune, HIGH MOON blends the classic Western with a good old-fashioned creature feature.

Think Clint Eastwood meets An American Werewolf in London. 🤠🐺

Last year’s performances nearly all sold out in advance, so don’t wait until Halloween to grab your tickets!
