Welcoming New artist to the Gallery.

We're pleased to welcome Salt Spring Island artist Marc Baur. He doesn't paint with pigment. He builds west-coast landscapes from paper: an impressionist take on Chigiri-e, the old Japanese art of creating with torn and cut sheets. Thick layers of dyed paper, sealed in crystal polymer. Texture, colour, and Gulf Island light you can almost feel.

Eight new works are now on view, including Summers End, and the triptychs Upper World and First Light.
