We received an ‘embarrassment of riches’ today from the talented Salish/Ojibwa artisan Beau Wagner. He is a dugout canoe carver trained in Stz’uminus.
Hand harvested woven cedar bark traditional hats, baseball caps and
a have-to-have baby hat.

We are grateful to welcome Elder Lillian Underwood to our team at Lifeways Gallery. She is a Southern Tuchone woman from Kluane First Nation in the Yukon Territories. Lillian brings many years of valuable experience with her- she has worked as an Employment and Training Service Manager for the Tsawout First Nation, is an entrepreneur, a facilitator and “Train the Trainer” of the KAIROS Blanket Exercise (KBE). She is also a certified executive coach and a motivational speaker.
Lillian will be co-managing the gallery when it opens soon. We are lucky to have you with us on this new journey Lillian

Artisan Howard LaFortune was gifted a treasured slick chisel that had been passed down through a local senior’s family. I guess it was waiting for the right person to become part of its story
