Here is Carol Evans’ newest watercolour, a truly special night scene. Carol often walked the coastline in this area, always struck by its beauty and wondering if she could one day capture it in a painting. We’re so glad she did!

Mitchell and I were thrilled to join such a generous crowd tonight in supporting our local Saanich Peninsula Hospital & Health Foundation. Together, we helped raise over $500,000, the highest total in the Gala’s history! The Foundation team did an incredible job rallying support for the Enhancing Surgical Services campaign, which will upgrade the hospital’s three operating rooms, fund state-of-the-art equipment, and expand parking. We were also excited to see a beautiful piece by our artist, Kathryn Amisson, valued at $1,400 soar to $2,500 in the silent auction!

Welcome Haren Vakil to our gallery! Haren lives in Sidney within walking distance to the gallery. At the age of 85 he is still creating fabulous surrealist works! It is fascinating and inspiring to all of us!
