currently involved in the research process of Basque creator Natalia García Muro and
participated in Mónica Valenciano’s Bailadero in L’animal a l’esquena (2025) in August.
Split Rites or Half Made is a duet that explores notions of birth and death with specific reference
to the creator’s having found an unborn chicken, half formed, within an egg they cracked open
while making breakfast together. Through embodying states of extreme inbetween and an earnest
exploration of funeral rituals the dancers move and voice between images of death and
burgeoning life evoking a language of the strange, transformation, the grotesque and the
uncomfortable in between.
We can’t wait to work with you both!
