It's Calgary Seniors' Week, which means we can't wait to see all those timeless smiles! 🤩

For generations, Heritage Park has welcomed so many through it's gates. From stories that start with “I remember coming here as a kid” to watching grandchildren experience the steam train for the first time, seniors help turn everyday visits into lasting memories.

In fact, many volunteer throughout the Historical Village, helping keep traditions and stories alive for guests.

Award-winning Indigenous artists, powerful storytelling and one unforgettable afternoon at Heritage Park is coming June 20 🔥

Campfire Chats is back for its 11th year in partnership with the University of Calgary, bringing Indigenous artists together for an unforgettable celebration of National Indigenous Peoples Day.

This year’s lineup features:

🎤 Drezus, the JUNO-nominated Anishinaabe and Nehiyaw hip hop artist known for powerful storytelling, Indigenous pride and music connected to the Idle No More movement

🎶 Fawn Wood, the award-winning Cree and Salish singer-songwriter celebrated for her powerful voice and cultural storytelling

🥁 Blackfoot Confederacy Drum Group, honouring and reviving traditional Blackfoot songs through powerful live performances

✨ Siibii, the Montreal-based Cree artist creating emotionally powerful music rooted in identity, healing and reclamation

For many children, a visit to the Historical Village means a first steam train ride, exploring the past up close and making memories that last a lifetime.

Donations supporting Heritage Park’s children’s education programs will be matched up to 50% through Rogers Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink, meaning a $50 donation becomes $75 to help even more kids learn, explore and make lasting memories.
