💫 Browse Indigenous Markets featuring local artists, makers and handcrafted goods
🪶 Experience powwow dancing, Métis jigging, cultural teachings and more
🪩 Then keep the celebration going at Bring Your Kokum Scarf (18+), a high-energy sober afterparty inside Gasoline Alley Museum (admission required)

Get ready, Calgary! The dark things are coming to Heritage Park 🦇 👀

After haunting guests at Casa Loma and sending shivers through Fort Edmonton Park, the award-winning immersive escape experience Where Dark Things Dwell by Secret City is making its Calgary debut at Heritage Park.

Beginning July 3 and haunting the Historical Village through October 31, Where Dark Things Dwell transforms Heritage Park into a world where folklore, monsters and nightmares feel all too real.

The guests may have gone home, but the Village isn't asleep. Are you ready save Heritage Park? 🫣

Somewhere between the packed lunches, yellow school buses and the sound of a steam whistle, core memories were made. ❤️✏️

This school year, thousands of students explored Heritage Park through hands-on field trips filled with storytelling, discovery and Western Canadian history brought to life.

For many Albertans, a field trip to Heritage Park is still a memory that lives on decades later. The smell of the train smoke. The sound of the midway. The excitement of walking into the Historical Village for the very first time.

Thank you to every teacher, student and school community who visited during the 2025/2026 school year. The good news? We get to do it all again next year!

Canada Day at Heritage Park just got a little more delicious! ☕🇨🇦

The tea is hot, the pastries are fresh and the pinkies are up! That's how we're doing Canada Day this year. Then, trade teacups for train rides and spend the rest of the holiday exploring the Historical Village and celebrating Canada.
