Welcome to students studying Tour Guiding at Ultimo TAFE. A busy day for them as they explored a number of sites around Parramatta.
Our volunteers always enjoy showing our 5 rooms of exhibits highlighting medical care in Parramatta from colonial days to 1980s.

Volunteers were happy to welcome a group of student doctors from China this week - a chance to learn about medical procedures from the past. The students enjoyed hearing tales from our retired nurses.

Saturday 29th August is a day to visit Parramatta - "Parramatta Open 2026"
Parramatta Open 2026 takes place from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm across the Parramatta CBD, North Parramatta, and East Parramatta. Hosted by Museums of History NSW, this inaugural satellite event unlocks hidden heritage gems, modern constructions, and significant public buildings.
Brislington will be open for a few hours ( 10:30-1:30) in case anyone passing by would like to pop in and see our collection.

Brislington Medical and Nursing Museum offers a glimpse of medical care in Parramatta, from colonial days to 1980s.
Open Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:30 - 2:00, and at other times for groups.
The building dates back to 1821 - a beautiful Georgian house, the oldest in parramatta's centre. Heritage listed and well maintained.
Come along and delve into the past - our band of volunteers are happy to provide tales of early doctors and nurses, convict settlement, artefacts, equipment, photographs and furniture.
