Established in 2016, B-SIDE Gallery is a unique gallery and events space in Fitzroy.

BSIDE Gallery represents an exciting new change in the landscape of Fitzroy's creative scenes. The space provides a dynamic platform for artists that challenges the norm of the traditional gallery setting while striving to reclaim young creative spaces in Fitzroy against the ever increasing tides of development. The gallery invites applications from all artists and curators who are interested in o

ur goals of :
- Creating an open and inclusive creative environment
- Promoting the accessibility of art to a wider public audience
- Pushing the boundaries and rules of traditional galleries and in turn allowing artists to push their own practices
- Maintaining Fitzroy as the creative hub of Melbourne by exhibiting high quality works from a broad spectrum of artists. We want to defy the trend of closing creative spaces and reclaim artistic turf in what is Melbourne's oldest suburb; and in doing so offer genuine support to all artists interested in and involved with both the gallery and the adjoining studios.

Ever turn around after 20+ years and find your childhood being sold back to the teens of the day at quadruple the price, whilst all of society sleepwalks into a dystopian future of surveillance tech and beige fashion we never dreamed of?

In true style, she will be bringing the 2000s futurism we all yearn for, along with the lived experience of the late 90s - early 2000s to .gallery, by turning the space into the teenage bedroom of our lofi hip hop vaporwave dreams 💭💞💫 Immerse yourself in the nostalgia and flip through some magazines, see some original art and have a turn on the computer, we just got the internet! Don’t be on there for too long though coz mum needs to use the phone soon 🥰📡💿☎️

Join us from 6pm-late on Friday 12th Dec in celebration of 9.5 years of the gallery & studio’s existence 🌞💗⛵️

Proudly supported by Jarrah, Tyema, and The Salvation Army, SONG-LINES is a celebration of First Nations storytelling through art. Team Jarrah has been working closely with our community to bring this to life.

Featuring works by Tayla Donaczy, Jacob Beattie, Cree Clayton, Baden Clayton, Uncle Rob A Johnson, and Daniel Edwards, this collection embodies culture, connection, and creativity.

These artists have been so generous in creating and brave in sharing their stories. Their work stands as a testament to the power of storytelling and the strength of culture.

There is power in showing up, in supporting these artists, and in honouring the stories they share. We invite our community to experience this special exhibition.
