APW first collaborated with Lee in 1999 – as part of a series of printmaking workshops conducted by APW in partnership with the Koorie Business Network for First Peoples Artists living in regional Victoria.

In 2005, Lee collaborated with APW printers to create an original print that formed part of a major APW project that showcased original prints produced by First Peoples Artists from Victoria at the 2005 Aichi World Expo held in Nagoya, Japan.

In 2024, Lee participated in APW’s project ‘IMPRESSIONS – LAND, SEA AND SKY’.

APW is honoured that we have had the opportunity to work in collaboration with Lee for almost three decades – developing a creative relationship and friendship that has delivered so many wonderful artworks in the print medium.

Over the years - APW is proud to have supported Lee to produce 12 new artworks in the print medium that have been exhibited throughout Australian and Overseas.

Today marks the final day for the exhibition ‘Mysteriosa’ by renowned contemporary artist Heather B. Swann. Awarded the prestigious APW Beverley Shelton Artist Fellowship, Heather undertook a residency at APW in late 2025 and worked in collaboration with APW’s team of highly skilled printers to create a suite of nine exquisite original lithographs.

“As a young artist I often wondered why so many artists were fascinated by the subject of memory. Now that I am older I understand entirely, memory becomes something to hold onto, the receptacle for all that we have been and seen and done, a mixing cup. And more, by now we have gleaned that we all contain some of the world’s memories and sorrows and we clearly understand that all will be lost. Art can cherish this knowledge for us.”
Heather B. Swann

‘Mysteriosa’ continues in the APW Gallery until Saturday 16 May.
The APW Gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm.
All works in the exhibition are currently available to view and or purchase through the APW website.
