Curiosity and creativity are taking root at Kaleideum this September! 🌳🎨

Our Education team has been busy building these trees out of cardboard, and now our visitors are helping bring them to life!

It’s all part of a scenic seasonal transformation at Kaleideum. The trees will make their debut with a spooky new look for Halloween in October, bloom into something new for Curiosity in Bloom at the Kaleidoscope Ball in November, and change once again for the holidays.

But the fun starts now! Our Guest Engagement team is inviting visitors to grab a paintbrush and help us create the trees that will become part of Kaleideum’s changing seasonal landscape.

So if you see a tree taking shape during your September visit, add a little creativity of your own. You’ll get to see what it grows into all season long! 🌱✨

📚✨ September fun is turning the page at Kaleideum! ✨

Our September theme is BOOKS AND BEYOND! 📖🚀 All month long, we’re bringing stories off the page and into the museum with playful, hands-on experiences that spark creativity, questions, and BIG imaginations!

🎨 NEW! Creation Station
Get making every Thursday from 1–4:30 pm in the Try It! Studio. Experiment with materials, explore new ideas, and create something uniquely you.

🔍 Curiosity Cart on the Move
Look for Kaleideum educators throughout the museum on Thursdays at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm. Ask questions, investigate, experiment, and see where your curiosity takes you!

The Dog days of Summer are a little better with real dogs 🐕 (and cats 🐈‍⬛ ). If you are looking to add a pet to your family, head to Kaleideum to talk with AARF Forsyth Humane and me your next fur-ever friend. Make a pet toy, design your own pet from recycled materials, and purchase a pet treat from Howling at the Moon Bakery. Bring some pet food or supplies and receive $3 off admission per person!

On Saturday, November 14, the 2026 Kaleidoscope Ball: Curiosity in Bloom transforms Kaleideum into an extraordinary evening where nature, creativity, and community flourish — all to support Kaleideum’s mission and expand access to meaningful learning experiences for children and families across our community.
