We’re excited to share our September events with you! Mark your calendars and join us for a month full of art, creativity, and community.

September Monthly Showcase: “Tagged”
The “Tagged” showcase will be on display beginning September 1st. Stop by the gallery and take a look at the incredible work from local artists.

Couples Speed Painting
Saturday, September 5th | 6–9 PM
Bring a date, partner, friend, or your favorite person, and enjoy a fun, creative evening together!
Tickets are available at UrbanArtsGallery.org.

Salt Lake Connect
Friday, September 11th | 7–9 PM
Artists, please arrive at 6:30 PM to register if you’d like to participate.
Share your work with the community and get the opportunity to have your art displayed in the Urban Arts Gallery! Artists may bring up to two pieces to enter. This is a free event and open to the community.

Girls Just Wanna Make Crafts
Saturday, September 12th | 6–9 PM
Enjoy a relaxing evening with a guided craft, or bring a project of your own and spend the evening creating alongside fellow art and craft enthusiasts. Your ticket includes all necessary supplies and is available at UrbanArtsGallery.org.

“Tagged” Artist Reception
Friday, September 18th | 6–9 PM
Join us for the artist reception for “Tagged”! Come meet and support the local artists in our community, view their work, and celebrate the creativity and effort behind this showcase.

Many of our monthly showcases are application-based and open to Utah artists. If you see a showcase you’re interested in, be sure to follow us so you don’t miss when applications and open calls go live.

Please note: Not all monthly showcases will have an open application.

Congratulations to Emma Houtz (), recipient of the Manager’s Choice award at the 16th Annual Skate Deck Show at Urban Arts Gallery!

Emma’s piece, “BLT on White,” caught our manager’s eye and earned a well-deserved spot among this year’s featured favorites. We love celebrating the creativity, personality, and unexpected ideas our artists bring to the show.

“BLT on White” is not for sale, but you can still come see it in person! The full Skate Deck Show will be on display at Urban Arts Gallery throughout the month.

There’s always something special about seeing the unique perspectives each artist brings to the deck format, and Lance’s work stood out as a favorite.

Zelia’s piece, “Flower of the Other Shore,” brings a beautiful and imaginative perspective to the skate deck format, and we’re excited to celebrate this well-deserved recognition.

Congratulations to our 1st Place Winner of the 16th Annual Skate Deck Show at Urban Arts Gallery, Andrew Brent Call, for their piece, “BW-2 CAT/S”!

A huge thank you to all of the talented artists and patrons who participated in this year’s show and took the time to cast their votes. This showcase is always such a fun celebration of creativity, and we love seeing our community come together to support and celebrate local art.

Some more featured decks for the month's showcase! This time you can get a peak at some of the animal and plant-focused art pieces. From cats, to mushrooms, to propagation, our artists have brought in a little of everything!

Today is the last day to vote on your favorite skate decks, so we encourage you to make the trip downtown and support all the hard work these artists have put into their pieces. If you can't make it, don't worry! The Skate Deck Show will be up for the rest of the month.
