Attention, dog lovers. This good girl has a job, and it saves lives.

Meet Tulip. She’s one of the dogs K9s For Warriors trains and pairs with a military veteran, at no cost to them. And right now, she’s the face of something worth your attention.

La Casa Studios is hosting a silent auction for an original Obie Hunter painting, Cathedral Basilica (60x48in), and 100% of proceeds go to K9s For Warriors. They provide trained service dogs to military veterans suffering from PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and Military Sexual Trauma (MST), at no cost to the veteran.

K9s For Warriors is the nation’s largest provider of trained service dogs to veterans, on a mission to end veteran su***de. They rescue and train dogs, then pair them with the warriors who need them most, so those veterans can return to a life of dignity and independence.

So if you love dogs, love art, or just love a good reason to do something that matters, here it is.

a little sunshine looks good on 33 king street ☀

A gift shop that photographs like a Pinterest board.

Say hello to Stay Sunny South, the newest curated concept gift shop in downtown St. Augustine, now open inside La Casa. Think ceramics, candles, coastal finds, and design pieces from local makers, plus a few La Casa artisan gifts tucked right in. Almost too pretty to unwrap.

you didn’t need to know a thing about art to know you liked that one.

Maybe it reminded you of a street you take home. Maybe the colors would look perfect above your couch. Maybe you just kept looking at it.

That’s enough of a reason to come inside.

Last Thursday, we celebrated Obie’s debut at La Casa Studios with a private first look at new paintings and a room full of people there to welcome him. Obadiah j Hunter

The artist you’ve watched paint around St. Augustine now has a home for his work on King Street. La Casa Studios is his exclusive gallery in North and Central Florida, with original paintings and limited-edition prints to explore.

The invitation was for one night. The art is a reason to come back.

Stop in, take your time, and see which piece you’re still thinking about after you leave.

next time, hear about it before you see the recap.
