PASTA - Professional Artists of St Augustine - Fine Art Gallery member and potter, Sheryl Sherwood will be the September Featured Artist. Her show, "Unfettered, Uncoiling Life's Burdens," is an alternative-fired pottery show featuring vessels and chains made using the coil method, then fired in a pit-fire, saggar fire, or anagama kiln fire. Her artist reception will be on First Friday Artwalk, Sept. 4th, 5 pm to 9 pm at PAStA, 214 Charlotte St., downtown St. Augustine.

Don won 1st place in the Landscape Category from the Florida Wildlife Federation's 2026 Photo Contest. Congratulations to PASTA - Professional Artists of St Augustine - Fine Art Gallery member, Svetlana Shorey for her Honorable Mention Award from the St Augustine Art Association. Her painting is titled "Guardian of Amelia Island" an oil on canvas - Size: 20” x 38”

Ms. Shorey commented on her painting and the award, "This panoramic oil painting was created during a paint-out event with the First Coast Plein Air Painters and the Island Art Association of Amelia Island, Florida. Amelia Island’s Lighthouse is the oldest existing lighthouse in Florida. It stands near the northern end of Amelia Island, overlooking Egan’s Creek.

It is an immense honor for me to show my work among the incredibly talented group of StAAA artists and to receive this award at the Annual 2026 Honors Show.
