Almost 2,000 years ago, this was just a piece of glass. Today, it's wearable art✨

Ancient Roman glass has been found throughout archaeological sites in Isreal, tracing the site's history back thousands of years and revealing to us small pieces of what life was like in Ancient Rome. The glass vessels were ordinary items, holding food, perfume, or medicine, but what makes them extroidinary is how time has changed something mundane into a unique piece of art.

What makes this glass look so beautiful today is its patina- a thin layer that forms on the surface of materials over time. After centuries buried beneath the mineral-rich soil, the glass naturally developed these stunning iridescent colors. Every piece spent time in their own unique enviornment, absorbing different minerals to create no two pieces that are exctly alike.
