It focuses its activity on exhibiting and promoting emerging and mid-career artists that challenge themselves with the most varied media, maintaining a dynamic attitude towards chromatic vibration, and explore the boundaries of figuration. Daniel Morowitz (b. 1989) is a painter based in Jersey City, NJ whose work explores q***r identity through richly layered compositions that combine pattern, floral motifs, and glazing techniques. He earned his Bachelor’s at Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University and a Masters in Montclair State University. Blending art-historical references with contemporary q***r narratives, his paintings create a playful yet unsettling space that examines themes of visibility, mythology, sexuality, and self-identification. Morowitz believes painting has a responsibility to its own history, but also functions as a tool to combat the dangers that q***rness faces in today’s contemporary society.

Lucas Geor (b. 1988, Sydney, Australia) is a Brooklyn-based artist whose paintings draw inspiration from the bold visual language of the 1980s and 1990s commercial culture, including vintage packaging, advertising, lit neon storefronts, and hand-painted typography. With traditional brush and airbrushing techniques, Geor creates paintings with meticulous attention to detail, honoring the hand made craft behind a visual culture that is gradually disappearing in an era of automation and standardization.

Marcelo Suaznabar (b. 1970, Oruro, Bolivia) is a self-taught Bolivian artist based in Canada whose surreal, richly colored paintings blend whimsy, symbolism, and the landscapes of his childhood. He first exhibited at the French Alliance and the Cultural House in Bolivia and has since exhibited widely in Latin America, Canada, Europe and the U.S. Influenced by colonial Baroque religious art and later drawn to the expressive power of color, his work frequently revisits the Bolivian altiplano where he believes lies a great power and energy as well as the source of his inspiration, memory and imagination.

We are pleased to announce Kosuke Ajiro’s first solo exhibition in the United States, ‘Excavation Record I – Sayonara’, opening September 12 and on view through October 24. Drawing from an imagined mythology buried somewhere between ancient history and fantasy, Ajiro approaches his practice as an excavation of the mysterious Kingdom of Sally. His paintings and objects appear as fragments recovered from a lost medieval world—inhabited by human figures, animals, gods, and mythical creatures—then reimagined through a distinctly contemporary lens. Evoking the atmosphere of faded murals, relics, and artifacts from an unknown civilization, Ajiro creates a world that feels at once ancient and strangely familiar. Excavation Record I – Sayonara marks an important introduction to Ajiro’s imaginative universe in the United States, inviting viewers to step into a mythology still waiting to be fully uncovered.

Carlo D’Anselmi (b. 1991, New York, NY) is a painter based in Ridgewood, Queens. He holds an MFA in Painting from The New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting & Sculpture and a BA from Saint Anselm College, Manchester, NH. Working from imagination, he creates luminous, dreamlike scenes populated by figures and animals bathed in vibrant color and richly textured surfaces. His work explores themes of memories, solitude, and the relationship between the inner experience and the natural world while blurring lines between reality and imagination. His work has been exhibited internationally, including at Fabienne Levy Gallery (Geneva and Lausanne), Kasmin Gallery (New York), Asia Art Center (Taipei), ThisWeekendRoom (Seoul), and The Cabin (Los Angeles), among other venues.
