Welcome to the Murray Project, a highly classified research facility dedicated to studying vampires and harnessing the extraordinary properties hidden within their blood. What begins as a routine orientation for new recruits quickly descends into chaos when a sudden containment breach triggers emergency lockdown procedures throughout the complex. Cut off from your guides and forced deeper into the facility, you’ll journey through dark corridors, abandoned laboratories, and restricted sectors where terrified staff, unsettling discoveries, and long-buried secrets await. "Creating with fiber has always been a part of my life, learning to sew, knit, and crochet with the help of my mother and grandmother. I returned to college in 1999 to study weaving and Art History. Over the next decade this led to felting, spinning, and the processing and dyeing of fiber. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from SUNY Geneseo with a BA in Art History and a certificate in textiles. My education continues with classes and workshops through The Weavers Guilds of Rochester and Buffalo and other organizations. My current work practice is still heavily based on weaving and spinning, but the past few years I have focused on natural dyes and the process of eco-printing. Naturally dyed yarns are beginning to make their way into my work. My work includes stitched bead work, knitting socks on an antique circular sock machine, and dabbling with clay. I enjoy combining media in my pieces. The friendships formed in the Arts Underground clay group are very important to me, but I do not consider myself a ceramicist. I make silly little things while we talk and laugh, eat and drink, Art therapy for sure!"

"My move from Montreal, Quebec, to this area of the United States in 1996, gave me time to create. While exploring the nature around us, I became fascinated with twigs and branches. I made sculptures with branches of wild olive trees & cherries. These sculptures were mostly abstract. From colored pencils came a period of soul drawings. When Susan Carter welcomed a group of friends in her studio, a door opened to a new world. With her guidance, we explored making sculptures with concrete, clay & papier-mache. Working with her has helped me build confidence and discover my own expression.
I enjoy seeing people smile when they look at my sculptures because of their whimsicality, their humorous nature. I want people to wonder, to ask questions. I keep surprising myself with my explorations and creations. From the clay underground studio, at GVCA, my clay sculptures take form. The company of other artists is stimulating. Gardening is as much part of me as art, after all 'gardens are growing sculptures'. I love books too...I might have as many books in my house as I have flowers in my gardens........."

"My artwork reflects the daily life and landscapes and environments I see at home,
and in my travels. Since an early age I have been been creating art in some form or
another and throughout the years I have honed my skills through practice and
teaching. My oil paintings are defined by a bold interpretation of the ever changing and human intervention into diverse environments. Deep tones and bold contrast lead the eye to the uniqueness to be found in the texture, pattern and line – the true focus of my work. It& #39;s my way of finding interest in everyday surroundings – the things that are always there that we don’t often stop to acknowledge. My recent foray into ceramics also shows his love of form and sculpture. Making both utilitarian items as well as representational forms."

Kim Binaghi Lee, in Above and Below | Opening August 27th ✨

Kim Binaghi Lee is a life-long New Yorker who moved to Geneseo in 2011 with her husband Eddie and the cat. She has been an artist her entire life. Her first major work was completed at the age of three; an abstract mural in red at her great grandmother’s house. After graduating with an art degree she worked for the State of New York in public affairs through the 1990s. During this time she also held art classes through Very Special Arts New York and taught after school art classes for children. In the early 2000s she was a member of an arts organization and gallery in Latham NY before ultimately moving to Geneseo. Kim continues to share her art experience with community art classes at Wadsworth Library. She works in her home studio drawing and painting and creates in clay at the Genesee Valley Council on the Arts with other like minded friends. Her work has evolved into mixed media pieces that tell stories of her life experiences and current events. Follow her at kimbinaghilee on Instagram.
