We borrowed this awesome idea from Geneseo Cat Tour, and got our best art pals Jake and Ray out today to draw pet portraits at SUNY Geneseo’s Together Toward Tomorrow festival! Excited for the prospect of new and fun collaborations between the village of Geneseo and the college. Cheers to a new era with Melinda D. Treadwell Melinda Treadwell!!

Our pal Jake Taylor (Jacob Taylor), who was our painting scarecrow in the window a couple weeks ago, just added this macabre piece to his selection at The Gallery! It’s a fresh take on his painting from the Scarecrow Stroll, and it looks even better in person, so come check it out!

Well helllllo, it’s almost October, which means we have a new visiting artist show going up this week. Meet Allison Smith!

Allison is a Geneseo, NY-based mixed-media sculptor whose work is inspired by an overactive imagination and the transformative power of creation. Working primarily with Paper Clay, recycled materials, and found objects, Allison creates whimsical, surreal, one-of-a-kind pieces full of soul. She began sculpting a year ago as part of her personal healing journey, building a full-time practice rooted in art as therapy, growth, vulnerability, and finding beauty in unexpected places.

Get a first look at Allison’s paper clay creations this Friday, October 2nd, from 6-8pm!
