#Geneseo’s Bertha V.B. Lederer Gallery is pleased to announcement its exhibit ‘Stories from the Attic: A Handful of Geneseo Histories,’ developed by museum studies and curated by Rachael Kosinski. Spanning as far back as the Treaty of Big Tree, visitors will be able to see and touch an actual part of the ancient oak, learn about the largest manufacturer of croquet sets in the United States and the Geneseo Normal School. Stories from the Attic will also explore Geneseo salt mines--one of the most important in the US--and the little-known existence of German Prisoner of War camps that existed during World War II. An opening reception will be held on Wednesday, January 29 at 5 p.m.

OK, I give up. WHO was Catherine Schuyler Van Rensselaer 1803-1884 buried in Williamsburg Cemetery, Groveland? There is so much information on Catherine Van Rensselaer Schuyler online that the search engines simply don't give any information on Catherine Schuyler Van Rensselaer. Thanks!

Hi. This might be a tad off topic but hoping someone in this group can help me identify this Location. This is a photo of my Great Grandfather John James Skelly with my Grandfather and Aunt & Uncle circa 1924 and we are trying to identify the building where the photo is taken. They lived in Caledonia but this seems to be some official institutional type city building so presuming in Rochester (?). Anyone have thoughts on this or a lead on who might identify it for me. Thank you, from Los Angeles! #genealogy #caledoniany #SkellyStrong #skellyofrochester #historicallocations
Everyone is invited to attend.
Congratulations to the cast, crew and directors of Liberty. What a great fundraiser for the museum and a wonderful performance!
