Spend the evening with your fellow alumni as we gather at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) on Saturday, August 29 from 5-7 pm to listen to the Latin Jazz sounds of Freddie Ravel.

Grammy-nominated keyboardist and composer Freddie Ravel has toured with Brazilian master Sergio Mendes as well as guitar legend Carlos Santana, produced and recorded with Earth, Wind & Fire, and performed on the silver screen with Madonna. As a recording artist, he has traveled the world and his songs have reached the top of the Billboard smooth jazz charts.

The Fresh Pizza on Wheels food truck will be on site or you can bring your own food. Also, bring your beach chairs or blankets and wear your Cardinal gear for this FREE, family-friendly event.

The Los Angeles Frosh Welcome / Bienvenida event co-hosted by the SBAASC, the SLAA-SoCal, and Stanford FLAN was a great success! The event was attended by 20 incoming Frosh in the Stanford Class of 2030 along with 35 family members and more than 30 alumni. We are very thankful to Stanford GSB alumnus and Stanford Trustee José E. Feliciano and Kwanza Jones for their generous support of this event and for the opportunity to hold the event at their company headquarters in Santa Monica. We congratulate all of these incoming Frosh from Southern California, and we welcome them to the Stanford family!

Please join us for the Los Angeles Frosh Welcome / Bienvenida event co-hosted by the SBAASC, the Stanford Latino Alumni Association of Southern California (SLAA-SoCal), and the Stanford First Generation and/or Low Income Alumni Network (Stanford FLAN) on Sunday, July 26, 2026.
