The Big Read: Robinson Jeffers and the Ecologies of Poetry

Happy 126th birthday Robinson Jeffers, Class of 1905! RJ was born the same year Oxy was founded and graduated when he was just 18. Here he is (first person in the third row) posing with the Stevenson Literary Society on the steps of the College. He would go on to become one of California's most noted poets.

This photo is also included in the "Becoming L.A." exhibit at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County.

We would like to thank our community partners, participating schools and the students and faculty of Occidental College for their support over the course of the program.
