We hope you’ll join us in September for Connect and Create Workshops, Close Looking Tours and self-guided exhibition visits at CAC. There’s only three Saturdays left.

Proudly sharing a few of our 2025 impact numbers!

Reflecting on the past year gave us a chance to celebrate why we accomplished together and inspired us to make 2026 even more meaningful.

We are so grateful to every partner, supporter and community member who helped bring this work to life. Your support allows us to preserve and share Corita’s legacy while putting her messages of love, hope and justice into action.

On Saturday, August 29th we will be hosting a very special photography workshop in partnership with Las Fotos Project. Alongside LFP teaching artist, Kenzie Floyd, participants will learn how to use a thermal camera (AKA “receipt camera”) to create their own accordion book.

This is a collaborative group project: arrive with an open heart and open eyes. Bring a few photos on your phone or in your hand that represent transition, tradition, or celebration for you.

As always, this event is free, but registration is required and space is limited!

It is with great gratitude and excitement that we introduce our exceptional Getty Marrow Public Programs and Curatorial Intern, Aaliyah Joo.

Aaliyah is a rising fourth year student studying Art and Gender Studies at UCLA. With experience in archival research, public engagement, and content production, she is passionate about making art more equitable and accessible to all.

Throughout her time here so far, Aaliyah has deep dived into the archive, bringing forth fresh ideas, posing engaging questions, and planting seeds for new programming and explorative materials.

She has even developed a zine making workshop that she will be facilitating on August 8th here at Corita Art Center!

What a joy it was to be part of this year’s Birmingham Design Festival Birmingham Design Festival !

With this year’s theme, “Change,” Corita’s work found its way into conversations, workshops, installations, and moments of making throughout the festival. From the oversized Corita-inspired cube welcoming visitors in the lobby to creative workshops that invited people to print, collage, and reflect together in banner-making, it was a beautiful reminder that art can help us imagine new possibilities.

Thank you to everyone at Birmingham Design Festival, especially Luke Tonge and , for including Corita in this year’s program. We’re grateful to have shared the festival with such a thoughtful community of designers, artists, educators, and makers.
