Experience live musket and cannon fire unfolds before your eyes with thrilling reenactments Saturday , March 21 at 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Before and after the battles, stroll through the Sutler Fair (9:30 AM–3:00 PM) where you can browse sutler goods, shop unique handcrafted items, and sample craft beverages from local vendors.

Don’t forget to grab your ticket for the Frontier Food Tasting & Talk at 3:00 PM and enjoy delicious frontier-style dishes.

Ice is on the lake, and the temps will be soaring to 50F. Come up the hill to The Frozen Fort at Lake George from 10:30 - 4 for Living History and Musket Demonstrations and later - watch the fireworks from our North Wall at Phantoms & Fireworks – Lake George Winter Carnival.

Our Story

Fort William Henry commanded the southern end of Lake George November 1755 to August 1757 during the French & Indian War. The Fort is open May to October. Interpreters available to answer any questions. Military demonstrations, featuring cannon and musket firing and a history of the fort are held daily at 10, 12, 2, 4 and 5 pm. Last admission is at 5:30 pm.
