Wow, what a beautiful night for music—we have Kris Allen Quintet, with KA on Sax, Josh Evans on trumpet, Zaccai Curtis on keys, Anwar Marshall on drums and the one and only Nat Reeves on bass. Ben & Jerry’s is scooping ice cream in our lot. Could you ask for anything else?! If so, we have our historic house open and art exhibits with Mallorie Ostrowitz and Nancy Doherty. Thursday Aug. 13 until 8 pm!

Do you have your plan ready for Connecticut's Historic Gardens Day this Sunday, June 28th? Each of the 16 historic gardens throughout the state will be open, HOWEVER, this year some gardens will be open from 9 am-1 pm, including Butler-McCook and Phelps Hatheway House and Garden to beat the heat.

Summer officially starts this weekend! 😎☀️

Join us for a fabulous evening in our historic garden with the String of Pearls Big Band. It will be a "Swinging Solstice Under the Stars" as all are welcome to enjoy the big band sound and music from the American Songbook.

Gather your friends, bring a picnic, and relax on a beautiful Saturday evening. Tour the first floor of the house and visit art exhibitions by Tula Dae Fiedler and Mallorie Ostrowitz.

Wow! Is it summer concert time already? 😎🌅 We are thrilled to kick off our 2026 Concert Series this Thursday, June 11 at 6pm with TUBBY, a long-standing project of the amazing Matt Parker. You know the energy Parker brings to the stage—which he will serve up along with a taste of the Big Easy right here in Hartford!

Paying tribute to the rich jazz heritage of New Orleans🎷🎶🎺, especially the many talented saxophone players to come from that city, TUBBY celebrates and shares this joyful tradition. Their mission is simple: bring the soulful rhythms of New Orleans to life — and get people on their feet dancing!

The Sunset Sounds Concert Series is sponsored by the Richard P. Garmany Fund at the ; the Evelyn W. Preston Memorial Trust Fund, Bank of America, N.A., Trustee; and the Ensworth Charitable Foundation, Bank of America.

All concerts will take place outdoors on the terrace at the Amos Bull House, located to the rear of the Butler-McCook Garden at 59 S. Prospect Street in Hartford. In case of inclement weather, the concert will move indoors to the Amos Bull Community Room. For parking information, visit www.ctlandmarks.org/sunset.
