🎨 NEXT WEEK! Paint It! Ellicott City 2026 – Open Paint is Back🌳😎

Open Paint invites community artists of all skill levels to spend the weekend painting alongside juried artists throughout town. Artwork created during the event will be displayed at the Howard County Welcome Center from June 29 – August 12.

Open Paint registration is $10, June 4-7.

🎨Paint It! Ellicott City returns June 4–7!
Join artists and art lovers for this beloved plein air paint-out and exhibit in Historic Ellicott City. Stroll the scenic streets, shop local, grab a bite, and watch artists capture the charm and beauty of old-town Ellicott City in real time.

🌳Thursday–Sunday, June 4–7 | All Day
Juried Artists and Open Paint participants will be painting throughout Historic Ellicott City.

🏆 Monday, June 8 | 6–8 PM
Celebrate the juried artists at the Juried Exhibit Reception & Awards Ceremony at the Capitoline Center — free and open to the public!

🎨 Want to participate?
Open Paint welcomes artists of all skill levels and ages! Artwork created by Open Paint participants will be featured in an exhibit at the Howard County Welcome Center from June 29–August 12, with a reception on July 1 from 5–7 PM.

👋Time is running out to see the annual Resident Studio Artists Exhibit in Gallery I at the Capitoline Center! On view through May 23.

The exhibit features artwork by Resident Studio Artists: Phill Branch, Cheri Glover, Julie Henneberg, Nish*ta Jain, Sherry Jankiewicz, Myungsook Ryu Kim, Lisa Scarbath, Jereme Scott, Kory Sutherland, Andrei Trach, Mary Jo Tydlacka, Kelli Williams, and David Zuccarini.
