One more painting for the year, and proud of it 🥹
I took a different approach with this one. I skipped the reference photo and went right to the sketch book. It began as a black and white study, to a full color sketch, and ended as a 30”x40” oil painting.

One of my favorite and most attended exhibitions was from January of 2020. I was exhibiting with 2 other glass artists at the Gallery. The space is gorgeous! The tall ceilings, great lighting, live music and guests made it a welcoming space. It was also the first time I painted a mural to accompany my canvas work.

“Down By the River” was inspired by an annual trip to Suwannee park. I was in love with all the large trees with spanish moss swinging from the limbs.
The title of this 58” x 72” painting was inspired by a skit on Comment below if you can name it.😇
