The GCA Choir returned from West Virginia on Thursday after attending the Appalachian Festival of Young Voices in Charleston. Ten choirs from across the country joined together to make music together along with a world-class string band and professional orchestra. We then had some excursions to J.Q. Dickenson's Salt-Works, New River Gorge National Park, and Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine.

Meet Frankie, a brilliant but socially awkward student who can’t seem to connect with her classmates. When a group project goes awry, Frankie devises an unconventional solution: she replaces all her classmates with android replicas, each programmed to correct their flaws. What follows is a hilarious and unexpected string of events that challenges Frankie’s ideas of belonging and perfection. Featuring a modern synth-pop score, this sci-fi musical comedy explores the ways we build narratives around one another and how a community where everyone is exactly the same is not a community at all.

Congratulations to our Greenwood Christian Academy students who participated in the Organization of American Kodály Educators National Conference Choir in Chicago! Way to go representing GCA, Indiana, and, most importantly, Jesus while there. These students worked very hard to prepare and rehearsal for an amazing performance with singers from all across the country.

Don't be a Grinch, come and join in celebrating the birth of Jesus on December 9 in the GCA South Auditorium. Kingdom Singers, Holy Harmony, and Cougar Chorale have been working hard this quarter to prepare a fun, entertaining, and meaningful performance. It is an experience you will not want to miss. There will even be a chance for you as an audience member to join the choir in singing a couple of Christmas carols (don't worry, you won't have to go on stage).

What are you doing on October 23? If the answer is not coming to support the GCA Choirs, you might have the wrong answer. Come hear The Kingdom Singers, Holy Harmony, and Cougar Chorale at 6:30 on October 23 in the GCA South Auditorium. You are in for a treat as you "Sail Away" on a journey that might involve "A Hole in the Bucket" and some very important (and entertaining) "Quotes by Mark Twain." You will want to "Reach for your Star" as you watch out for "Trolls." Of course, we will be worshiping our Lord and Savior as we exalt His name and understand His "Amazing Grace." Get your tickets at gca.booktix.com.

In addition, if anyone is able and willing to support our Appalachian Festival Tour, we would greatly appreciate it. Choose to Donate under the Appalachian Festival Tour logo on gca.booktix.com.

We look forward to seeing you on October 23 at 6:30.
