HEDGE provides contemporary space for emerging and professional artists HEDGE Gallery features the freshest contemporary art in Northeast Ohio.

The mission and motivation behind HEDGE Gallery is to present a vehicle for elevating accessibility to the arts and to continue creative collaboration with surrounding communities and businesses in Ohio and beyond. We are located in the 78th Street Studios arts complex, and is owned and operated by Hilary Gent, who has spent the last ten years staging public exhibits, launching art walks, and planning elaborate receptions for individuals and organizations, all of which have transformed the way residents and visitors view Northeast Ohio. The Gallery represents the freshest contemporary art in this region, with a roster of 18 established artists who are diverse in technique and style. Hilary Gent specializes in curating compelling artwork into off-site spaces such as offices, hotels, and homes, and can be hired for art delivery and installation services. Many of our represented artists can be hired to work n commission projects as well.

Sarah Curry’s Servitude opens next week!

Grounded in themes of domesticity, labor, and societal expectations, this compelling exhibition showcases Sarah Curry’s latest body of work including paintings, mono-prints and sculpture alongside curated contributions from nine regional female artists.

Recognizing the vast scope of the theme, Curry invited nine fellow female artists to contribute works that provide distinct, personal perspectives on the theme of servitude. Artists denise buckley, Pita Brooks , Libby Chaney, Amy Copeland, Phyllis Kohring Fannin, R.Lee Gamble, Shannon Morris LaSaundra Robinson and Ginny Wallace Curry will all be part of the show.

HEDGE Gallery is proud to present Servitude, a compelling new exhibition featuring recent paintings, mono-prints, and sculpture by artist and educator Sarah Curry.

The origin of Servitude was inspired by a photograph of graffiti reading, “I have cooked for men I should’ve poisoned.” This provocative statement prompted Curry to explore historical and contemporary dynamics of service, power, and hierarchy. Domestic objects and everyday tools of labor are reframed throughout the exhibition as narrative objects, illuminating the experiences of invisible caretakers and translating routine tasks into powerful expressions of resilience and resistance.

Servitude, a solo exhibition featuring artist Sarah Curry’s recent paintings, mono-prints and sculpture opens this October!

Sarah has curated 9 other female artists’ work into this show, whose themes relate to reframing the labor of service as an act of resilience and resistance.

This year marked our fifth year collaborating with Crain’s Cleveland Business for their Women of Influence Awards.

Represented artist Jessica Pinsky created a new series titled “From the Moon,” which incorporates the colors of the women’s suffrage movement: purple, white, and gold. The circular shapes within the pieces symbolize connection and unity.

As a woman-owned business, we are honored to lead an award project that shines a light on influential women leaders in Northeast Ohio. Congratulations to the 2026 honorees!

We had an incredible group join us for the Artist Talk with Rebecca Cross and Liz Maugans last night!

Doors open at 5:30 to view the exhibitions, and the talk will begin at 6:00pm.
