LAST CHANCE to visit the BOSNOMA exhibit at the BSA Space!

🗓️ Monday–Thursday, through the end of September
⏰ 10:00 AM–3:00 PM

Much like the lines that run through Boston, BosNOMA at 20: Stops Along the Journey traces our story through advocacy, community, and the people who have shaped our chapter along the way. The exhibition reflects on BOSNOMA’s history and the lasting impact that continues to shape our work today.

🚂 With the BSA preparing to leave the current BSA Space for a new location, the exhibit will soon be coming down. Stop by for one last look at the exhibit—or to say farewell to the BSA Space!

📣 Running a small firm means balancing the work at hand with what comes next. Join us for a full day focused on business development, contracts and risk, hiring and outsourcing, and the realities of small-firm leadership.

Whether you’re a solo practitioner, leading a small team, or considering your firm’s next stage, come step back, connect, and learn from others navigating the same decisions.

💥 One more reason to join us: this will be the last event at the BSA space before we move out.

Stay afterward for a networking reception, 4:30–6:00 PM.

Congratulations to the CDL team Wandy, Miranda, August, and Ben for all their hard work in launching the BSA's first regional guidebook on attainable housing for Cape Cod and the Islands. The project received well-deserved recognition, including front-page coverage from CAI and WBUR, helping bring greater attention to one of the region's most pressing challenges: access to housing for year-round residents.

The guidebook was made possible through relationships with local leaders and organizations championing adaptive reuse as a key housing strategy across the region. We are grateful to the Harwich Fire Association, Harwich Conservation Trust, Housing Nantucket, and the many other partners whose collaboration and support made this work possible.

One of the goals of our Summer Fellowship is to create opportunities for emerging voices to contribute to conversations shaping the future of design.

Written by our Summer Fellow August Buziak, our latest BSA News article explores the story behind "What is Adaptive Reuse?", a guidebook developed through BSA's Civic Design Labs in partnership with regional organizations across Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, and Nantucket.

Rather than offering a single solution, the guidebook documents real projects, practical design strategies, financing approaches, regulatory pathways, and cross-sector collaboration that demonstrate how adaptive reuse can expand housing opportunities while strengthening communities.

Read August's article to learn how the guidebook came together, and why its lessons extend well beyond the Cape & Islands.
