SpeakOUT continues our 50+ year tradition of sharing our life experiences with a range of audiences to shatter harmful stereotypes and build stronger allies for the LGBTQ+ community. The one-day intensive training will prepare volunteer speakers to conduct interactive speaking engagements in schools, colleges, workplaces, faith communities, and more in the Greater Boston area & online.

SpeakOUT programs raise awareness about LGBTQ+ lives and help to create safer and more inclusive spaces. The training will focus on valuable skills such as setting the right tone, shaping and telling a story, overcoming fear, working with a co-speaker, and answering difficult questions. Participants will work in large groups as well as small breakout sessions with experienced speakers to hone their story.

Registration: $75 standard, $35 seniors/students. Pre-registration is required. Training manual, breakfast, lunch and snacks are included. Ask about scholarships & group rates. Happy National Gay Men's HIV/AIDS Awareness Day! ✊🏾❤️

Today is a reminder of the activists, organizers, and community members who fought for care, dignity, and liberation in the face of an epidemic that took so many lives, and of the work that continues today.

Gay and bisexual men, especially Black and Latino men, continue to carry a disproportionate share of new HIV diagnoses in this country.

Today, we honor the resilience, joy, and brilliance of gay men living with and affected by HIV.

We recommit ourselves to ending stigma, expanding access to testing, prevention, and care, and building a future where every person can live openly, safely and authentically.

At the National LGBTQ Task Force, we remain committed to creating a world where justice and freedom are not aspirations, but realities for all.

LGBTQ+ Youth

Applications for our 2026-2027 National Student Council cohort are open until August 21st!

The NSC is a platform for LGBTQ+ youth to cultivate their leadership potential, amplify their voices, and actively contribute to creating more inclusive and equitable environments for all students.

The NSC plays a pivotal role in providing feedback on Glisten’s programs, resources, and overall strategy. As youth representatives, they offer their unique perspectives and insights, ensuring that Glosten's initiatives remain relevant and impactful. NSC members are passionate about social justice and actively seek to deepen their knowledge and practice around racial justice, gender justice, and disability justice.

Eligibility: All current U.S. LGBTQ+ and allied high school students in grades 9–12 are eligible to apply for the National Student Council.

Leadership. Legacy. And Loss.
We are profoundly saddened to share this news.
Frank was not just a community hero (in so many ways) but also a dear loved one (he gave the toast at my wedding)… our hearts are with Joe, the CC family, and his family. Rest, rest, In peace, fierce One.

Club Café announces with profound sadness the passing of our founder and Vice President, Frank A. Ribaudo.

In 1983, Frank and his friends belonged to a gym just down the street from Club Café, where they were being harassed and discriminated against. Refusing to accept this treatment, they left and found a space to open an LGBTQ+ gym—a place where the community could work out safely and with dignity.

Soon after, they opened Club Café as a gathering space to grab a bite to eat and relax after workouts. From those early days to today, Frank became a true champion for the LGBTQ+ community.

In the mid-1980s, when a new disease—later known as HIV/AIDS—ravaged our community, Frank opened our doors for community dinners, fundraisers, and meetings to mobilize and change public policy. He never wavered in his commitment to supporting those living with HIV/AIDS. In 2003, alongside his good friend Michael Tye, Frank helped create the Harbor to the Bay AIDS Benefit Bike Ride, serving for 22 years as its treasurer, crew member, and organizer. The community dinners he began continue at Club Café to this day, bringing together those living with HIV/AIDS and providing information about programs and new therapies.

Frank also believed we are stronger when we come together and championed getting the LGBTQ+ community “out of the bars and onto the fields.” He knew this would strengthen our communities and promote health and wellness. He established the Community Support Fund, dedicating all the money Club Café raised through recycling and coat checks to sponsor LGBTQ+ sports—from softball to kickball. Frank could regularly be found on the softball field or at the bowling alley. This tradition continues today, with Club Café donating more than $30,000 annually to LGBTQ+ sports.

Because of Frank’s vision and steadfast leadership, Club Café remains a safe and welcoming space for all—a place to relax, enjoy good food and entertainment, and come together as a community. We continue to give back and work to make the lives of all in our community stronger and better, just as Frank envisioned.

Our community—and indeed our world—is a better place because of Frank. He was strong, determined, and courageous to the very end as he battled brain cancer. He passed away peacefully at home, with his longtime husband Joe, who took exceptional care of him. Our thoughts are with Joe, Frank’s family, and all who loved him as they navigate this profound loss.

In accordance with Frank’s wishes, a celebration of his life will be held at Club Café at a later date. Details will be shared once arrangements are finalized.

The Bisexual Resource Center is heading to TD Garden for one of the Connecticut Sun’s biggest games of the season as they take on the Los Angeles Sparks and we want you there with us! And yes! You can absolutely bring your friends, family, coworkers, and situationships. This is meant to be a fun community outing, whether you come alone or bring a whole crew. 🏀

We’ll be seated together in the green section. These seats normally cost $125+, but our group rate is just $55 per ticket! If our group reaches:

• 50 tickets → the group unlocks a fan tunnel experience
• 100 tickets → the group unlocks a post-game photo on the court (omg, can you imagine?)

Whether you’re a longtime basketball fan or just here for the vibes, this is a great chance to hang out with bi+ community members and enjoy a fun summer night in Boston.
