Dear Boston Rowing Center,

I hope it is ok to post here.

The University of Haifa and the Boston Medical Center (BMC) are conducting a joint study on a respiratory disorder called paradoxical vocal fold motion - PVFM (otherwise known as vocal cord dysfunction: VCD). PVFM presents with shortness of breath characterized by difficulty getting air in rather than out. This condition is common in athletes and physical exertion can be a trigger.

Our study is testing an existing form of respiratory retraining therapy for this condition and we are seeking participants 15 years or older who are presenting with shortness of breath or, optimally, a diagnosis of PVFM.
