Atlanta Art Fair is officially here!

We’re excited to join the fair as a Cultural Partner for its third edition, happening now through October 4 at Pullman Yards.

As contemporary art takes center stage across the city this weekend, visit the Carlos to experience Anamnesis, our new exhibition featuring the work of Sergio Suárez.

Tomorrow night’s intimate gallery talk with exhibition curators Ruth Allen and Andi McKenzie is currently at capacity with a waitlist, but you can still experience Anamnesis this weekend! Join us Sunday for free museum admission all day and family art-making inspired by Suárez's exhibition during Sunday FUNday.

We hope to see you this weekend!

Compassion, in one word, is belonging. — Anvita

We're asking students in Emory’s Social Empathy Lab who helped shape Compassion: What Moves You? to share their work on the exhibition, what compassion means to them, and their hopes for visitors.

Thank you, Anvita, for sharing with us!

Compassion: What Moves You? is on view in our Level Three galleries through November 1.

“What do objects remember?”

In a new preview for ARTSATL.org, Andrew Alexander takes readers behind the scenes of Anamnesis and explores how artist Sergio Suárez uses wood, clay, architecture, and objects from the Carlos' collection to consider memory, time, and what remains.

“The site of memory, the site of labor and where time condenses—that is the block,” Suárez says.

Read the full story, then experience Anamnesis at the Carlos Museum, on view September 19, 2026–January 24, 2027.

Emory’s Carlos Museum will feature the work of Sergio Suárez. The exhibition, "Anamnesis," opening September 19, is fascinating in that the works are sprinkled throughout the museum's other collections, weaving them into the museum's existing arrangements.

From the studio to the galleries, Sergio Suárez’s Anamnesis has come full circle.

We can’t wait to share it with you when the exhibition opens this Saturday. Learn more through the link in our bio.
