Terrance sat just two blocks from The Nest and was a smiling face almost everyday. So sad to lose our neighbor. He was part of what makes the West End such a wonderful place. ❤️

For years, people driving through Atlanta’s historic West End saw the same man sitting on a bench near the corner of Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard SW and Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard SW.
Some knew him by name. Others simply recognized his face.
To many in the neighborhood, he was “Yohan.”
Now, those who passed him daily are mourning his death after family members confirmed the 40-year-old man died days after being struck by a vehicle at the very intersection where he spent much of his life: https://www.11alive.com/article/features/family-mourns-man-who-died-after-crash-on-atlantas-west-end/85-9cafb50b-8a75-42db-b307-16c50a79baa6?utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook_11Alive

Got this in the mail via FedEx today. Joel Chandler Harris was one of those who "compiled" this collection that states "The South's renown for oratory seems to be widespread but the recognition of its authors has been tardy and stinted." Some of the content is definitely dated but we're getting stuck on the lost art of penmanship on the envelope. Love working somewhere bits of history arrive by surprise in the post!

We are on the hunt for some "new to us" front porch furniture. We have a tiny budget and would love something that could pass for Victorian like wicker or cane furniture. If anyone has a set that might work, maybe we can make a deal! This is the view of what we have now...but a few years ago when it was still "user friendly" and one of the chairs hadn't collapsed!

We are so proud to be counted on this list along with some of our best "museum" friends! 😍😍😍
