The College Football Hall of Fame mourns the passing of Mike Ditka, a Pitt legend and member of the Hall's Class of 1986.

A unanimous All-American who helped redefine the tight end position, Ditka went on to build a remarkable legacy as a Pro Football Hall of Famer and Super Bowl-winning head coach. His impact on the game will be remembered for generations.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends and all who knew and admired him.
